Hamilton County Relative Caregiver Program

The Hamilton County Relative Caregiver Program is a new partnership of the Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging & Disability and Signal Centers, Inc. providing a “one-stop-shop” for Relatives who are raising children related to them by blood, marriage, or adoption.  It is funded by an agreement with the State of Tennessee’s Department of Children’s Services.  It is designed to be a comprehensive system of information, referrals, and support services that will promote resource awareness and stability for families.

The Relative Caregiver Program offers support groups for the Relative Caregiver; support groups for children and teens; support groups for birth parents’ recreational/respite services for children and relative caregivers; and emergency-one time financial or start-up assistance.
